How can I prepare for my massage or facial?

There are no special requirements to prepare, please come as you are. We do ask you to arrive at least 5 minutes early for your appointment, this allows us to begin your treatment on time and get the most out of our time together.

Is massage painful?

At Treasured Day Spa we use a unique combination of light, medium and deep pressure to relax the body and activate the paratsypathic nervous system. If your muscles are tight, you are holding onto a lot of stress, and you would like us to address this, sometimes the massage can be painful. 

We make sure to always perform a thorough consultation before we begin to make sure we give you the best treatment possible. We will always communicate if we think something might be painful.

What will happen during my treatment?

At the start of every treatment we begin with a consultation, check in with your well being and discuss your needs and wants and ask how we can best serve you today. Next we will explain how to get ready for your treatment and what to expect throughout our time together. This is YOUR time and we want to give you the best treatment possible. We encourage you to let us know if the pressure, music or temperature isn't right so we can correct this for you.

I’m feeling nervous about booking an appointment.

We understand that there could be many factors making you nervous about booking in, we encourage you to send us an email so we can help you through specific your concern. We also encourage you to check out our Instagram. Emma shows up exactly the same online as she does in person. We are different from other day spas, we are a judgement free space, a safe space. We want you to come as your authentic self and share your worries with us.

What happens if I’m late for my appointment?

Please contact us via text message to let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you. Late appointments will be charged the full rate. 

Help, my child is sick and I need to cancel my appointment!

At the bottom of our confirmation email there is a link to reschedule or cancel your appointment. If you need to cancel within 24hrs please contact us via phone or email, cancellation fees apply. 

I have a gift card, do I still need to give you my credit card details? 

Our booking system uses card capture to secure your booking, no payment is taken from your card and you can use your gift card on the day of your appointment. 

Can I have a treatment if I’m pregnant? 

Yes you can, we have pregnancy specific massage and all our facials are pregnancy safe. All our treatments are safe from first trimester to third trimester.
